Printing Materials & COVID-19
Adapting Our Policies For Safety
In response to COVID-19, Accilent has shifted to a completely virtual office, and has upgraded to a more robust communication platform to serve its investors better – but there are still several hard decisions we have had to make in order to protect our staff and their families.
As you may or may not know, Accilent is technically not an essential service. While we are still working hard from our homes to provide you with the best service possible, certain aspects of our operations can no longer continue during COVID-19. Specifically, anything that requires our staff to go to the office has been affected. Mass-mailouts, and printed materials (with the exception of cheques) place our staff in needless danger of exposure, and could also lead to massive provincial fines, and potential suspension of licenses.
In order to keep our staff and investors safe, we have made the decision to halt all printed correspondence for the foreseeable future.
We know that to some of you, printed investor correspondence is very important, and we appreciate your gracious understanding at this time. Please know, that this does not change your correspondence preference setting in our system. When we are able to return to the office, we will be making print options available for financial statements and more, for those clients who request them. Until then, we ask that you work with us to help our community understand that while this is temporary, it is also essential.
We know how important it is to maintain openness and transparency with our community. Connection, above all else, is vital as we try to navigate through the days ahead. That’s why we are sending out a new, official newsletter with correspondence and updates for our investors called Accilent Connect. Our first issue goes out this week, and gives information on which T5013s are available for download; how to log in to the new Exempt Edge communication platforms, and more. While we feel that eventually this will be a biweekly newsletter, currently we know that we will have weekly information to share.
