When we launched the Absolute Advantage Blog, we wrote:

“We know that when people think about finance and investing they usually think about ’spending to live’. But here at Accilent, we look at creating the tools and community that give you ‘a life better spent’.”

It’s true. Yes, Accilent creates investment products and tools designed with returns in mind, so you can reach your goals. But we also believe in creating a community to that end. And our idea of community doesn’t end as soon as an offering closes, and it’s not a corporate glaze applied on the outside to make us look better than we are. It starts inside, with our core members. The team and our clients make Accilent what it is. When we communicate with each other and answer your questions or you provide us with feedback, it all affects the next product, and the next policy.  Our community goes beyond ‘Know Your Client’ forms, and account statements.  And we enjoy that it’s a 2-way street.
So come and visit us behind the scenes, to see what we read, and what inspires us around the office.  We hit on a number of topics, from investing to wine, giving reviews of new magazines we’re reading, or books we’ve referenced, enjoyed, or think you might enjoy. We even talk about services, retail, and culinary hotspots we’ve frequented here in Toronto and abroad. Our ‘Boutique’ even gives you the opportunity to pick up your own copy of what we have sitting on our shelves, whether at work or at home.
